Alpsport was established in 1985 to provide functional and reliable camping gear to the local bushwalking community. Our store and range has expanded since the early days and now encompasses abseiling, rock climbing and family camping.

As we are a truly independent store, we can stock the best range of brands available, giving our customers a large range of top quality equipment to choose from. We are constantly looking forward towards the newest technology and breakthroughs on the market. Saying this, our range also relies on products that have withstood the elements and critics and have remained reliable favourites across the outdoor world.

Here at Alpsport, our staff provide friendly service with knowledgeable and sound advice to all of our customers. Some of us here are bushwalking fanatics, keen rock climbers or just technical gear junkies, whilst some of us just like to sit around and watch the billy boil. The fact is, our staff all have the same thing in common, they enjoy all aspects of being in the outdoors and have experience using the equipment we provide for our customers.

Alpsport stocks a wide range of camping and outdoor products including; tents, sleeping mats, stoves, torches, footwear, rock climbing and abseiling equipment, trekking poles, travel accessories, clothing, rainwear, thermal underwear, navigation tools including compasses, GPS, maps and a wide range of books.

Alpsport specialises in lightweight bushwalking equipment, such as stoves, cookware, back packs, sleeping bags and mats. We also have one of the largest selections of ultra light 1 and 2 person tents in Sydney.

We also carry a large range of footwear to suit any occasion. From long multi-day bushwalks, day walks around town, or shoes for rock climbing. We know our range of shoes, boots and sandals intimately, so you always get the best advice and a correct fit leaving you comfortable and blister free!
